Exotic dancer gets prison after all

December 1st, 2008, 2:23 pm · 33 Comments · posted by Larry Welborn

An exotic dancer who received probation instead of prison in 2003 after she was convicted of vehicular manslaughter has ended up in prison after all.

Lisa Piho, 37, admitted last week that she had violated the terms of her probation. Superior Court Judge Robert Fitzgerald then sentenced her to four years in prison.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Ebraheim Baytieh had accused Piho of failing to report to her probation officer and possession of methamphetamine.

In 2003, Piho was given probation after she pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for running over and killing pedestrian  Mark De la Fuente, 55, who was out for a morning stroll with his dog in July 2001.

The Orange County Probation Department recommended a prison sentence for Piho in 2003, but Superior Court Judge Willaim Evans instead gave her a year in the Orange County Jail as a condition of five years’ probation.

Well, at least she’ll be in prison where getting her meth fix will be a lot easier…

  • Mary says:

Sounds like she should have been in prison in the first place and it was recommended initially by the OC Probation Department apparently they don’t have very much influence in the courts.

  • Old dude says:

    Amen!

  • Joe Lukman says:

Ewww, where in the world do you go to see a 37 year old exotic dancer? Waaaaay past the cutoff for hotness.

  • demaam says:

Ummm…soooo, what does her being an exotic dancer have to do with her running over a pedestrian? LOL…well, I’m glad she got what she deserved.

  • thomas tear says:

surprising usually women get off -no pun bla bla bla

  • Ocbased says:

Posters are so mean on here…perhaps it was an accident, just like with the other case of the guy who ran over that Mexican nanny. This could happen to any one of us, whether we’re a stripper, lawyer, trash collector, clerk, etc. She pleaded guilty maybe to avoid a trial where a jury would pre-judge her on her occupation. But the point is that we don’t know 100% if this was an accident, and if so, perhaps lay off her…?

  • jerdawg5150 says:

WOW 4 years that rocks I guess I well never get the money she owes me .but I am sure she will have alot of time to think about the people that truly cared for her , that she used and treated so badly but hey that’s what tweeters do I guess I really hope she uses this time to get clean and to get her life back on track I know that last time she was in jail she was still doing drugs and making some kind of in house alcoholic beverage I also know that the first year almost killed her she was so depressed and that was just in county and I have to say this deep down behind all the drugs and drinking there is an amazing dancer not stripper but a true dancer and kind hearted lady that got lost in the world of bright lights ,money , drugs,. beleive me i saw that side of her a few times in the two year i new her i hope she finds that preson again best of luck to her and my heart gose out to the people in her life that has go through this pain i hope she makes it

  • John Coktostone says:

wutever, you did not do your boyfriend any favors by going to a strip club in City of Industry.

  • Sally says:

It isn’t enough for Piho to get only 4 yrs. She couldn’t even look at us (the family) in court when she was sentenced the first time. It has been 7 yrs since we lost Mark. He left a wife and 2 children, a brother, a sister and nieces, nephews, brothers in-law and a sisters in law who think of him everyday. He had friends and co-workers too. He is greatly missed. Piho should have been in prison (not jail) since the day she killed him. 20 yrs. is about the right amount of time for her to serve.

  • Shannon says:

Well for all of you that is not familiar with the California prison system,
Non-violent criminals get half time plus credit for any time they have already done in the county jail.
So in Lisa’s case she has 18 months credit for the time she has spent in the county and then add your half time = Lisa Piho back home and no longer on probation in a few months.

Personally, I do not think she should have ever been violated, she got the possession charge 2 1/2 years ago and the court gave her prop 36 which she completed.
She was doing great she was back in school and teaching ballet at the community center. Her probation officer in San Diego was putting her on write-ins
    UNTIL
“Someone” went to the the OC probation department to inquire about her and told them what a horrible person she is etc etc…
In turn, OC Probation calls Lisa unexpectedly and says she needs to turn herself in because they are violating her for the possession charge…
Even though she did, what the court asked her to do.

All of you with your nasty ass comments do not know anything about Lisa.

I have known her since second grade
She has a good heart and is a good person.

What happened was an accident and there is not a day that goes by that she does not think about it.

I do not know what putting her in prison is going to do; it will not bring the man back.
She wasn’t high when she hit that man, drugs were not even part of it otherwise they wouldn’t of let her walk home.

All of you insecure woman on here are pathetic, your just mad that men pay to see her most likely your own men.
Lisa does not have not even a tiny bit of cottage cheese, she has been a ballerina her whole life she has a beautiful body.

What Lisa does for a living or whom she sleeps with is nobody’s business but hers and it does not change the fact that what happened was an ACCIDENT

For all of you so quick to judge 1 out of every 37 people are on drugs and will be convicted of a felony.
So when you find out that one of your kids or husband, brother, or any other loved one does drugs I hope all of you people remember this post

  • Brian White says:

It never ceases to amaze me how the majority of the people who post on this site use the tragedy of others to make themselves feel better about what they have not “yet” done. My heart goes out to the family that lost a loved one, but at the same time my heart goes out to the person that has to wake up each morning and go to sleep each night with the knowledge that they took another life. She definitely doesn’t deserve to be in prison for 20 years, she wasn’t on drugs when this tragedy happened and just because she happened to be an exotic dancer should have nothing to do with this.

  • Brian White says:

I thought this site was under moderation now but apparently not because I see how people continue to harass and joke about other peoples tragedies. When my friend Robert Day was gunned down by an off duty police officer who chased him with his 6 month old child in the back seat at speeds of over 100 mph all anyone could do is say how this so called police officer upheld the law when in reality he took the law into his own hands. Good riddance to all of you who have nothing better to do than rant about others so you can feel better about all your little dark secrets.

  • clankiller says:

anyone walking a dog that early in the morning, is strange…who knows……..this was an accident……GOD takes the lives of people……when its your time, that is it…….funny, I wonder if the Accident victim even knew of Jesus, no mention of that here, also Sally mentions she did not even look the family members in the face……for what reason, you would all give her dirty looks…..also, this was an accident, did you want to see her punished so bad for an accident, geez….seek Jesus he will cure your pain and give back your life to you and your family…..if you are a true believer then your family should be confident he is in a better place, if you are not a believer then there is time for you to grow……must be very hard on them, but to move forward and to know Jesus will cure their pain…..as for Lisa, I knew her and I though she was a nice person, the crowd she hung out with was wrong though…..as I read these terrible comments, maybe you guys should seek GOD / Jesus……remember believing is seeing…..but most of you have to see in order to believe and that is your downfall…….
